About town
Zhashkiv is a city of Ukraine. It is the regional center Zhashkiv of Cherkasy region. It locate in the north and western area at the Torch River, for 154 km from Kyiv and 220 km from Cherkassy. A railway station final of South Western Railway. Highway Kyiv-Odessa (M05) runs by the town. Zhashkiv has a bus with Kyiv, Odessa, Billa Cerkva, Kirovohrad cities. Population is 14.4 thousand people in 2009. (14.8 thousand in 2007, 15.8 thousand in 2005, 15.6 thousand in 2001 and 13.7 thousand in 1972 years). Ukrainian is 97% of all.
Modern Zhashkiv
